Are you a 501(c)?
Yes. We have been approved with the IRS to serve as a Non-Profit to our community. Donations are tax deductible. Donation vouchers for clothing will not be written for over 50.00. Our voucher for your taxes is hand signed by our director.
Is The Bear Closet really free?
Yes. We do not ask for money unless its a brand new carseat. Then we would ask for a donation and ask that you donate the equipment back when you are done so we can help other families. Diapers, baby food, formula, and clothes are free of charge.Events and classes are also free of charge.
How do I donate?
We accpet cash, checks or Paypal.

What items do you accept for donation?
We follow the National Safety Standard guidelines for Equipment.
✅ (Preemie up to Youth 6x), shoes( new or barely worn) (Newborn to Youth 10) books, and baby equipment in excellent condition.
✅ We take all seasons and do not limit you on how much you can bring in.
✅ We will sort through your items placing items we are passing on back into your tote, so you will get your tote back.
Apparel should be in ready-to-wear condition.
Equipment and toys must meet current safety standards and include all parts.
Apparel should be folded neatly or laid flat in a box, bin, or tote.
Call us ahead of time to find out what our most wanted items are.
When are donation accepted?
Wednesdays 11am-1pm
Fridays 2pm-4pm
